The staff were extremely helpful and the property was beautiful.
Be aware of the location of the hotel - particularly if you do not have a car.
Friendly staff, swimmingpool, central location (close to epernay city centre: 20min walk, but still very relaxed setting), beautiful room and garden.
Wifi didn't work, but the hotel staff provided us with a cable. Breakfast could have been better, since you had to pay extra for it.
Excellent room (Superior Room), good setting and only a short walk to the Champagne Houses along the amazing Avenue de Champagne
As this is a high-end hotel a couple of high-end touches could be introduced for that extra special welcome e.g. complementay drink upon arrival (there is one check-in desk and so we waited 10 mins - not a big problem but less so if I had a drink in hand).
The accomodations were wonderful. The old world charm and fresh interiors were appealing tome.
There were few people staying at the hotel and we were upgraded to a superior room which was nice. The room was spacious and well furnished, bed comfortable and good bathroom facilities. Good car parking.
We were disappointed with the location of the hotel. We wanted to visit a local champagne house but there was not one within walking distance that was offering a tour. We were given a list of recommended restaurants for dinner but none of them were within reasonable walking distance and as we did not want to drink and drive, a taxi was the only option. The air conditioning was working on heating only so it was not possible to regulate the temperature to our needs. The breakfast room is in a lovely location at the back of the property but we were disappointed with the breafast. There appeared to be mould growing on the surface of the fresh youghourts and the "fresh fruit salad" looked as if it was tinned frut with fresh apple pieces added.
Beautifully presented villa hotel with high quality fittings and decor. Everything tastefully done with excellent service. A few blocks stroll into Epernay and free parking. A slightly higher rate than usual but definitelty worth it.
Fair value for money. Character property - freshly updated.
Breakfast didn't cater for dairy or wheat intollerances - it should be possible to at least have some longlife soya milk available. No tissanes were available either.
The hotel and my room was very stylish and perfectly matching the atmosphere of Champagne region. I especially liked dark wooden decor and black girandole on the ceiling. The pool area (even the pool is small) was also very comfortable and giving the feeling of privacy. Beautiful very old olive trees in the garden around the pool.
I had a room with a terrace and on the day of checkout a man came quite early in the morning to water the plants and also the terrace itself, so I could not use it any more. Also it took him nearly 1 hour and over that time I had no privacy in the room and felt uneasy. Would be good for hotel staff to arrange such activities during normal cleaning time when guests are out of the room and after checkout.
Lovely small hotel. Rooms, pool/pool deck, garden perfect/clean. Everything with passion for detail. Very friendly staff. Too bad, we only stayed one night....
The hotel was in a great position. Easy walking distance to the major champagne houses and good restaurants. The rooms were gorgeous, beds comfortable and the staff very helpful. We are so pleased we spent a little extra and stayed at Villa Eugene.
Eveything was good, very good or excellent-the room was spacious well designed and had everything that we were looking for and people were very helpful
very elegant. spacious well appointed bedroom & bathroom with great charm. marvellous breakfast in beautiful salon
Room furnishings & design; bathroom size & layout; breakfast room; pool/poolside; proximity to Epernay town;
The loud Australian guest!!
The room was wonderful.
Quite a long walk into town if you do not have a car.
Nicely designed room and good poolside deck for some afternoon sun
A little way from the town centre - 15 minute walk
